A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast used to look for early signs of breast cancer in women with or without signs and symptoms. What is the difference between free and low cost mammograms?
Free mammograms means a person will have their initial screening mammogram covered by a breast health program. However, not everyone qualifies for a free mammogram. Therefore, women will be directed to a program that offers mammograms at a lower cost.
What information will I need to have to determine if I qualify for a free/low-cost mammograms?
Please have your full name, date of birth, insurance information (if you have insurance), home address, and household income. The information will assist in determining if you qualify for free or low cost mammograms.
Can I call on behalf of someone I know?
Yes, please call and we will help you and your loved one find assistance in scheduling a mammogram.

Do you help with further test such as ultrasounds, MRI, and breast biopsies?

What does the MASS project provide during an education seminar?
We conduct approximately 20-minute breast health education presentation, with a question and answer session, as well as work with location organizations to provide free/low-cost mammograms either on a mammography van on site or referrals to local breast centers.
